Pearl Izumi sizing question...(5 posts)

Pearl Izumi sizing question...MVN
Jan 25, 2004 8:59 AM
How does Pearl size their jerseys, Euro size or American? I wear size 6 XXL in euro, so what would that be in Pearl? I like a relatively tight jersey, but not skin tight. Thanks for your time.

They size them American style but I feel they run small. I wear a size 3 jersey and find their small is a bit too tight around the chest while their medium's okay but not great, so I'm a tweener in Pearl sizing.

Not sure this helps given the size disparity.

I generally wear a 6-7 Euro depending on the time of year. I've found a Pearl XL is too tight for my comfort. you might be right on the border if you like it snug.

Or, that's what they say. I wear a euro7, which is a PI XL. That's the same as my t-shirt size, so yeah, it's "American". Check out World Cycling Productions or Colorado Cyclist's catalogs. They have sizing charts with chest measurements etc. If you know your chest size you can get a good fit from the product. It's crazy how many different companies size their clothes.
hope it helps!

it's best to try them on if you can get a chance. I bought an IP Kodiak jacket last fall. I normally wear a Euro 5 jersey for a relative tight fit and the Medium Kodiak fit me the best for a slightly loose jacket fit. The large was "baggy"

Could of been on the large size because it was a jacket.
