|Ok, racers, since most of us have a day job to pay for our racing... What do you drink at work (aside from water)? I have gone from drinking one (1) 24oz Pepsi a day to one (1) 24oz caffeine free Pepsi, to one (1) 24oz diet caffeine free Pepsi a day while at work (8:30 to 5:00). I drink about a gallon of water while at work (yes one gallon, it is form bottled gallon [that is how I know how much]). Therefore, what do some of you fast folks drink just to have something that tastes good?|

|Gradually, I am substituting green tea for coffee (less caffeine). For cold refreshment, I use juice (100% juice or a juice cocktail) but milk for meals. I use a milk that has an extra amount of calcium.|

|large starbucks coffee black, green tea 2-3 cups throughout the day, 3-4 quarts water, nighttime I drink a glass or two of red wine and then finish it up before bed with a half bottle or so of pellegrino.|

|beer takes too long and is too cumbersome in the amounts needed at work.
seriously folks: 2 cups of coffee before 7:30, water all day, then water & OJ all night.
but, then again, you said "fast folks", so perhaps i need not apply. :)

|Coffee and water for the most part. Occasionally a Gatorade or SOBE off the truck if I had a hard morning ride and still feel 'flat'.|

|...but I drink alot of tea.I start with hot tea in the mornig and end with ice tea for lunch and afternoon.I quit drinking any soda this year. I hope I can stay with it.|

|I've quit the caffeine as part of a diet. I use to down coffee in the morning and then diet coke. Now it's just water and an occational caffeine free diet coke or Ice tea without sugar.
I feel better now without the caffeine so may stick with minimizing the caffeine. (Depends on what happens when hard training starts)
I also like the flavored club sodas (just carbonated water and flavoring, no sugar or substitutes). Gives you the fizz but not the questionable stuff.

|I'll kill some coffee before I head out of the house. Typically fresh brewed on ice, so I can drink it faster.
(I think that's a holdover alkie thing....) Then, one travel-cup's worth of office brew, which is OK but not as strong as the pay-for stuff. During the day, I drink a combination of water, water, water (all in a bike bottle) and decaf green tea (by way of teabags dropped in my water bottle). I do drink diet soda at home, as well as more decaf green tea.
Lately, I've been experimenting with "cleansing" (read: pooping) supplements such as psyllium combined with Sonne's 7 Bentonite cleanse. Both need to be taken with mucho H20 so that adds to my daily total.
I like a little caffeine, but I need to be careful as I've learned that I get very aggro and irrational if I have too much.
