anyone know a website for TdG where I can scope out the course after they announce it?

BTW, hear anything about LA and crew training around Boone this winter? Have I already missed it? Had considered stalking them. Have driven past G. Hincapie as he trains on Paris Mtn enough times to probably frighten him. *kidding - I hope*

I will be covering the Tour De Georgia for a few websites as well as Southeastern Cycling. I hope to have daily updates and photos up, no live coverage, though.

Ewwww. Seriously, Prologue to be in Macon; stage 1 Macon to Columbus, stage 2 LaGrange to Rome, stage 3 Dalton to Gainesville, another mountain stage to be determined, final stage in/around Atlanta tbd.

I'm working the race again this year (route signs, technical staff) so looking forward to having Lance out there drawing huge crowds.

I just hope the course is more difficult than last year. Afterall, Fast Freddy won the Mtn. Stage last year! How hard could it have been! I bet Postal is lobbying to get a more difficult course with the offer of Lance riding. I wonder if the prologue will be lengthened at all for Lance as well???

Lance should be on pretty good form by then too as in other years he had been contesting for the win in Liege and Amstel at that time...

Can't wait!

The tour of georgia is still missing a major sponsor. They just did a big story on the race locally due to US Postal calling the Tour of Gila here in New Mexico. According to the story, Georgia doesn't have the sponsorhsip needed to put on the event, and Postal is looking at the Gila race to fill in the spot for a major US tour. Postal team reps said if the TdG doesn't lock in sponsorship by mid February they are bailing on Georgia.
The story says Dodge is the title sponsor? nmIan

blow it off last year because route info was so hard to find early enough to plan ahead? I wanted to go, but with the exception of host cities and towns had no clear idea where the race was going to be and when it was going to be there.
