hi all.
i'm heading out to SD on monday for a week-long conference for work. i'm bringing my bike and will be meeting up with friends to do long rides on Wed & Sat. however i'd love to hook up for some shorter training rides on the other days.

does anyone know of any good rides/shops/routes in the Pacific Beach area??

thanks!

rt - no, really. i will be working. *cough! cough!*

I don't know of group rides in the PB area but if your looking for a route, the ride up the coast is nice. From PB go north thru La Jolla, past torrey pines state beach and then as far north as you like. No climbing other than some small hills but the views are nice.

If you want some hills you can climb Mt. Soledad a few times. It's starts in north PB. Here's a link to a good route has 5 routes to the top. 36 miles and maybe 4,500 feet of climbing. Via Capri is wicked steep.

much appreciated. the ride from PB north sounds ideal for spinning. going alone isn't a problem since i do the majority of my training alone...it will be nice to have a change of scenery.

36 mi & 4500' climbing? i'll feel like i'm back in N. GA!!

cheers.
