|Does anyone know of any good group rides or routes in the NAples/MArcco Island area of Florida? I'm going down there at the beginning of MArch for about 10 days.
Thanks in advance

|I'm going to Naples the week of February 21. In the past, I've not ridden as the roads near my parents home have no shoulders whatsoever. I would be interested in driving someplace where riding would be suitable. Any suggestions?
I think I'll have to pass on the group ride, however, as I'll be riding my dad's Bianchi Milano (my retirement present to him). Somehow, I don't think a cruiser bike would fit into the group scene. I'm going to bring my SPDs and shoes and would like to find a course where I could ride 30 miles or so.

|Contact Clint's bike shop (Naples), 239-566-3646. They should be able to assist.|

|I've visited Naples as well and have hooked up with the ride out of Clint's bike shop, which is in the more Northern part of Naples. I think it is near Vanderbilt. Anyway, my recollection is that they met in the parking lot near Clint's and left at 7 a.m. sharp every day. I think the rides are very structured, i.e., one same days they do a particular loop and others another loop and it works like clockwork. Being an outsider, I found some of the riders welcoming and others more distant but, for the most part, people opened up more once the ride progressed. Some days are real hammer days and others are not so you might want to know that too.|| |
