Hey dzrider, I've got lots o' questions--
I'm interested in the Lyon Excursion or Rogue frames available from GVH, and I wanna get your thoughts about the Excursion.
I'm accustomed to all-day rides and races on my custom DEAN El Diente - that frame rides like a Ti Cannondale.
I want to build up a triple chainring brevet bike w/ capabilites for touring and light fireroad rides.
My ideal Specs: Hi-grade steel, rack & fender eyelets, Minimum 35c tire clearance, 1-1/8" headtube, moderately light but moderately stiff.
With that in mind...
How do you like the wishbone seatstay - too flexy?
What's the tire clearance like?
I ride 57 s.t. x 57 t.t. 'square' frame - how's the fit on your bike?
How's the finish - I hear that Jeff Lyon's filet brazing is excellent.
What chainring combo do you have?
What kinds of rides do you do on your Excursion?
Many thanks!
Mike
