New Bianchi Carbon(15 posts)

New Bianchi Carbongrandemamou

This was a warranty replacement upgrade. Built it Friday and have 2 good rides on it. Fixed the two things I disliked about my EV2. Wimpy front end. The carbon is rock solid. I hated the Cane Creek headset. This one is speced with an FSA. Slick as cow $hit in a clover patch.

I was amazed with the ride. My EV2 was as comfortable as my other two steel frames so I was blissfully ignorant. Now I know what people mean when they say it's like riding on a magic carpet. I found myself seeking out bumps and rough pavement. It seems to just float on the road.

Tha is a nice looking ride. I have to admit, I can't take too much Celeste, as in the frame/fork etc. I like the nod to the tradition with the bar tape. Very nice.

That's attractive. My rides are steel, butI tried the Look KG361 and found it to be very smooth, though the BB was too flexy. How's the BB on the bianchi?

I had a 361 and that was my only complaint. The 461 is much stiffer in the bb and still has Look's great ride.
very sharp looking:) nmdivve

Look similiar to the Gios carbon bikes. Wonder if they're using standard Carbon tubesets now?

One of my other rides is a Gios. I have lusted after the carbon one for over a year. The Gios looks like it has lugs. No lugs on the Bianchi.

Monocoque Carbon...

The Gios Carbon Plus is built on the Dedacciai carbon tubeset with U2 lugs and a Mizuno fork...
that's one of the sweetest rides i've seen in a while! n/mBonked

Great looking ride. What size is that frame? Those rims look like FIR's. Are they tubs or clinchers?
Look like OP to me. nmdivve

Plain old Open pro 32's with butted spokes, Record hubs and alloy nipples. I weighed them alongside a buddies Ksyriums a couple of years ago. If I remember right they were about 30 grams heavier and about 400.00 cheaper.
