|Phoenix area roads/routes - any ideas||likeguymontag|

|I'll be visiting my grandparents in Phoenix in a couple of days, and since Phoenix weather is so nice this time of year (high: 75F, low 55F), I was hoping I could get some mileage in too. Unfortunately, I don't know of any roads in Phoenix that I'd want to bike on. The city is full of stoplights and the state highways are loaded with traffic. Where can I ride and keep the traffic to a minimum? Saguaro Lake, maybe? -Steve|

|Where are you going to be? Try the B.O.S. ride.||maurizio|

Where are you going to be staying? North Scottsdale is great for riding and has amazing topography. The Saturday ride to be on is called B.O.S. It starts at 7:30 at Scottsdale and Shea and heads north for a 3.5 hour or so hour ride - you can easily extend that another 2 hours if you decend down to Bartlet lake and climb out (14 mile climb out!). In the spring, expect a pack of 100+ riders, with a famous face or three. Postal, Navigators, etc.
The ride is so 'famous' that there's a write up on it on socalcycling.com. Check it out.
