Carl Strong has completed the frame and just about got all the parts together. Gets mailed on Monday. It is my first new bike in 22 years. I can't wait to ride it! r, FRED

That has to be the most uncomfortable saddle I've ever seen.

While slightly uncomfortable, you never accidently slide forward or backward on the saddle.
Is that a KORE stem?...koala

I tried to find a 90 degree aluminum stem with reasonable mass and couldnt. Did you get that from Carl?

Due to my severe inflexibility and back problems, Carl had a lot of work to get my bars where I needed them, as you can see a bit of rise in the TT, longer headtube and angled stem. Original plan called for a Thompson Stem and I think he was able to keep it. Carl supplied the stem.

did it take you to get your bike to where it is now? I sent in my deposit for a Strong Frame November 22nd and that was the only time that we talked about the bike. Carl said that there would be other phone calls (we still need to talk about color and frame design etc). Just curious on your experience. BTW, carl has been a pleasure to deal with.
PS: Great looking bike!

Nice some pics when you get her home. Fully built up, of course.

I paid my initial deposit in late October, total time a bit over two months and with the holidays mixed in. If you want to know where in the line you are, just shoot Carl an email and he will let you know. He was, and is, very easy to deal with including changes made midstream.
mine took 6 weeks from initial discussion to my bikestand (nm)terry b

you're going to love it, my Strong is my traditional "first ride of the year" bike. one of the best things about buying from Carl is the stream of photos you get during the build process. makes custom a blast.

I got a new bike last year and my old bike was 30 years old. I got a Giant Composite TCR 1. STI will blow you away if you didn't already have it. So will modern handling and weight savings.
