Those tubes look pretty beefy. And those DA cranks are starting to grow on me. So how did you spec your frame? Anything special or pretty normal/stock IF geometry?
very nicecapn

Well first off I should be a fullback or linebacker somewhere but I completely lack talent and apparently fat doesn't help in the weight room so I cycle thus the large tubes. It's pretty much stock with a 5 degree slope but they did lower the bb to help my descending ( lack of courage too, I guess )

So those are larger diameter tubes than "stock"? Even though I'm light, I'd do the exact same thing as you--beefy OS tubing, lower bb and sloping tt. And what is ths bb drop? Anyway, very cool.
Nice bike! But....Dave_Stohler

capn,

I bought a Ti Crown Jewel nine months ago, and it's the best bike decision I ever made. May you enjoy thousands of miles of pleasure on yours.

Still think that D/A crank is fugly, though. Those new Ksyriums on it?
Nice bike. Ugly crankset.Elefantino

I saw the new DA last summer and said "yuck." I see them now and say "yuck."

If you like beefy cranks, Mavic, I think, did it better ... 15 years ago.

FWIW,
Cranky

I wish I had gotten my Ti IF with sloping geometry. You'll notice the finish going a little dull after a while. Get a big wad of cotton balls, soak them in rubbing alcohol, rub down the frame really well and watch those tubes come back to life!!! The absolute best finish on any Ti bike EVER. If you haven't seen one in direct sunlight you are missing out.

I am currently waiting on a IF Ti Deluxe, mtb. If I should ever need to replace my Merlin Agilis, a Crown Jewel would be my choice.

Pictures can't do justice to IF's paintjobs. My local shop bought quite a few IF's (mostly steel cyclocross) with wild paint jobs and they are just beautifull.

Get stoked for the TiDeluxe. I love mine its the greatest thing on two wheels except for my TiCrownJewell. Here's a pic or two. Cheers to the Capn.
