A question for anyone with DMT Ultimax Carbon shoes(2 posts)

A question for anyone with DMT Ultimax Carbon shoesbburgbiker

I just got a pair in the mail yesterday and so far i think they're great. $219.95 plus free shipping (ordered on Friday from the East Coast and they arrived from SD on Monday).

My question is: Has anyone tried unscrewing the allen screw that holds the buckle? I tried to untread the bolt so i could try the second position option for the buckle but the bolt just turned and turned. I seems as if the threads that the screw is in are turning within the upper of the shoe. if i hold my finger inside the shoe on the opposite side of the threads and bolt it feels like the entire piece is turning. hope this isn't too confusing, it isn't the easiest problem to explain. any help is appreciated.

I tried tightening the screw, and noticed the same thing. I haven't tried unscrewing them, as I didn't know they offered 2 buckle positions. Have to check it out tonight.
Maybe a pair of pliers, to hold the threaded piece, would work. Perhaps they loctite a little too liberally...
