Salsa quill stems in the SF Bay Arealaffeaux
Jan 6, 2004 11:59 AM
Do any bay area riders know of a shop that actually stocks Salsa quill stems? Every shop that I talk to can order them, but no one carries them.

I'm not 100% sure if I need a -17 degree or 90 degree stem, and would like to hold both next to my current set up for comparison.

Thanks in advance.

There's usually a half dozen up for auction of various different lengths and angles. I just bought one a short while ago for less than $15.

I thought that American Cyclery would have them and called, but they didn't. Crossroads had a few, but only in shorter sizes. I've been watching eBay, but the size I need has not appeared.

I guess I'll order one on-line.

I can't be the only guy left with bikes that use quill stems. It's hard to believe that no one carries them anymore.

I saw them there a few months ago. Give 'em a call.

Good Luck,
