Headset problem-->>ZenJones

When I move my handlebars in a light up and down motion I notice some play so after checking tightness on my stem(which was tight)I then noticed that my entire headset was moving fore and aft in my headtube.

Also of note... when the headset moves back and forth in the headtube a fine line of grease appears on the headset just above the top of my headtube or(to describe it another way)just below the 2 nuts on the top of my headset.

Any thoughts... LBS time or is this something I can fix on my own?

Thanks

A loose HS is easy enough to adjust, and www.parktool.com has the drill. If the cup(non integrated HS) is actually able to move in the headtube you may have a bigger problem a good LBS needs to take a look at.
