|Hi, I was at the doctors the other day for hip and slight knee pain... He told me I had tendonitis in both hips and both knees, now for my spring track season coming up, I was wondering if anyone had any experience with this, or any remedies for it. I have been off the bike for about a month and a half and got it about 2 weeks ago, I had read a while ago that riding is good for joints in your legs. Do you think this could have contributed to the tendonitis? Should I get back on the bike for some easy spinning?
any advice is welcome, thanks. BTW, my doctor is an avid cyclist.

|ask your doc or PT to show the stretch exercises, tight tendons is the major source of tendonitis.
Yes spinning will help lessen load. Also taking ibuprofen, Advil, Motrin prior to exercise.
Piece of advice: cycling outside use 2 pairs of tights and take longer time to warm up cold worsens this condition good luck.

|a professional fitting on your bike... something sounds bizarre or off. New pedals or bike, longer cranks or seat. Im thinking your seat needs to be adjusted up or down, especially if you have some lower back issues. And too high or low a seat could cause hip and knee issues.
