|I wanted to know why football players put that black stuff under their eyes and came across this quiz. Thought it was humorous. Be thankful these idiots are not covering the Giro, Tour, or Vuelta.

|You mean the rest of you haven't tried this? It really helps you climb better, particularly if you use wider tires, which have more volume.
Plus, at the end of the ride, you can talk like Alvin the Chipmunk.

|The U.S. Olympic team has historically used a lighter-than-air gas in the tires for track cycling events. They never would say exactly which gas it was - and I don't think they do it any more.
But there is some fact behind it...
