|This is a blatent post for an upcoming race that my team is hosting. I know there are quite a few Georgians here...to justify the post, part of the proceeds will be donated to the PATH foundation, a local rail-trail and cycling advocacy group.
My team is having our annual Tundra Time Trial on Feb. 22, 2004 on the Silver Comet. The start is the Hiram trailhead (aka Seaboard Ave). The course will be approximately 10 miles and is flat! It's a great opportunity to test yourself before the Greenville Road series or the start of the multi-sport season.
This is a USCF sanctioned event. One day licenses will be available for $5.00.
All participants must sign an insurance waiver during sign-in.
Riders will be launched every 60 seconds. This is an out and back course.
On-line registration is at active.com, and details about the race are at:
Entry fee is only $15. A late fee of $5 will be charged after Feb. 20.
The trophy for the overall fastest time is a beautiful custom glass trophy from Lillie Glass of Smyrna, GA. Lillie Glassblowers are world renowned for their creations: http://www.lillieglass.com/. Category awards will be medals.
I'm attaching a flier in PDF (Acrobat) format. If you have any questions, feel free to email me at sttarlite at hotmail dot com or the race director, Mitch, at maskew6 at yahoo dot com.
