Can anyone share a picture of the C-40 that Mapei rode in the 98\99 season? I've seen a picture of the top tube on the Trialtir website but would like to see the entire frame.I was looking to get this color scheme put on the C-50 I am hoping to get next year. This scheme came highly recommended by Mike at Maestros, because it shows alot of carbon and I love the Mapei colors! Thanks ahead for any responses!

Not a C-40 but it should give you a good idea what to expect.

If they are worth their salt in the Cust Serv dept, they should be able to dig it out and send it along.

Who is going to paint it? It sounds like a custom job.

Colnago will now paint new frames with any of their old paint schemes.

That's very cool of them. Well then they should certainly have the paint specs on file somewhere. The trick will be to find someone in the cust service dept to find this info. Should be a relatively easy look up and win for that department.

It is still available. I have these shots as I ordered a 2003 C40 in February of that year and like the AD10. Mapei also rode them when they finished 1-2-3 at Paris Roubaix with Musseuw, Bortalami and Tafi.

The biggest problem is the lack of painters, they're airbrushed by hand, to do the work. Apparently it's the biggest single bottle neck in Colnago's production and even more so with the Art decor scheme.

You can still get any frame in AD10 from Colnago subject to waiting longer than normal, and your distributor (in the US, Trial-Tir) agreeing to take the order from your shop.

Interesting thing I've notice from seeing other riders with AD10 C40's on the road and in pictures is the treatment of the drive side chainstay. On some, it's painted, on others, it's just plain carbon. Hand painting. Maybe they just forgot!!!!!!!
Ahhh, yes I remember that one.12x23

I couldn't remember if it was posted here or in the gallery. The AD10 scheme is my favorite. I looked through the gallery and didn't see it, or maybe gave up too soon. Look's like its sportin' a pr of GL330's, too.

I probably didn't need to see that, what with the annual bonus coming around in March/April.

Thanks for the compliments! That was my bicycle that I've since sold and replaced with a C40HP. The wheelset in the photo is Gel-280's with Ultegra hubs. I bought them in a shop on the north side of Atlanta in 2000 and flew back to Indiana with them and took them on the plane with me as carry-on. As I recall, they were stashed in the first-class coat cabinet. Betcha can't do that anymore!

I have plenty of photos of the bicycle that I took before I sold it, but they're on my computer at home. I'll post some of the best sometime soon.

Its nice to see that Moira appears every now and then on the board. Its long gone (went to California), but its been replaced with a C40HP in the LX-11. I'll see if I can get some pix up soon.
