I am looking for opinions on Descente hjerseys, jackets, gloves, etc. My LBS has started to carry this line of clothing and I can't find any reviews of it here. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

I've been a huge Descente fan for years. When they left the US market several years ago I started hoarding, and I still have a few pairs of shorts still in the wrapper stashed in my closet.

Their new products are very nice. I have 3 pairs of the Aero-X shorts. They're a very heavy fabric, with a multi-panel cut that fits very well. The chamois is thick but comfortable.

I also like their new gloves a lot. They're well padded and well contoured. I haven't tried the new jerseys yet, but I still have a closet full of their older ones.

I definitely prefer Descente to PI, Voler, LG or any other mid-priced lines. I don't have anything by Castelli or Assos to compare them to, but I doubt the premium lines could be very much better.

I have the retro 7-11 jersey. I like it a lot. Full zip works great with bib shorts too. Makes restroom stops so much easier...

Descente's jerseys do seem to run a bit larger than most. I wear an XL in PI, but a large in Descente.
Glad to see that they're backgtx

I wore their stuff almost exclusively in the 80s, but then they disappeared and I switched to Pearl. Great shorts. I think I'll order a(nother) pair before summer...

Descente is a Japanese company. They were very popular as the top of the line clothing here in the US in the late 80's and early 90's. The only other stuff that was close were Giordana's and Assos's stuff. This is also before Assos got really out of hand with their pricing and before Pearl Izumi started to become a popular line. Then the parent company of Descente decided to pull out of the US market. I forget who it was, but it was some ski company if I remember right. Then they were bought by Axcent sports and just last year returned to the US market.

As for reviews... their stuff is top notch.
