Some of the new features would (will) be nice. But the format of the current software stands out, in a good way, because it's simpler, more compact and efficient for browsing than what every one else has gone to. Just my $0.02, and not that it makes a difference. Gregg sort of predicted that this backlash/mutiny would occur, as with any change. Everyone will get over the change a few weeks after they roll in the new system.

... if not on this forum, then other boards we frequent.

Those who will have the most difficulty with the change are those who live through it... some of the newer members to this forum won't remember the older versions... those who join after the change won't have much of a clue of the older (most boards are dynamic, and archives, when successful are rarely visited after a few months).

Change is inevitable... we only hope that it's for the better... and seeing as the only choice I have is to go along with the change or go elsewhere... I'll reserve judgement till it's up, running and I've had a chance to live through it yet again.

Be the bike.

Considering that the new format makes polls really easy and you can see the results.

Just the fact that the new format floats current threads to the top is nice enough for me. Having still good topics sink to the bottom of the page and then right off send them to a forgotten relm of page 2.
