Any of you interested in getting together for a ride Saturday the 27th? It looks like the weather is going to be right for either location, mid 50's for Cherohala and upper 60's for 6-Gap area. I am leaning towards Cherohala because it has been a couple months since I last rode there; 6-gap would be fine though as Brasstown escaped me after turkey day.

Anyway, let me know if interested.

but there's no way I'm in century shape, especially such a tough route. Barely in half-century shape for that matter.
Only 55 or so miles. . .Mike P

I'm thinking about starting at Hooper Bald, riding down the NC side to Joyce Kilmer. Through JK to Fontana Dam (by Tuskeegee Rd.) or to Cheoah Dam (by 129). Then ride back through JK, up the Skyway back to Hooper Bald. Might just have to ride on up to the Santeetlah Overlook though. If taking the Cheoah option, should be around 55 miles, 3 - 3.5 hours, 4500ft climbing. Fontana would be a good bit more. I am leaning towards Cheoah.

Late morning start time for me; somewhere around 10 - 11 AM, noon at the latest.
