I remember a year ago someone on this site posted a link to one of the coach sites for advice.

I pulled my IT band in september and haven't found any good stretching exercises for the whole band. I heeled up ok, but the spot from my outer side of the knee up sixs still hasn't really fully recover.

I couldn't remember if the one coach name was "Fred" or what. I may seen it on Ecaps, so sorry if this site wasn't the place I got that information. Andy Pruitt's book help for identifying my injury, but I'm having a hard time finding any exercise for the muscle group.

Any tips will be helpful.

Thanks. That's what I was looking for. One fellow gym rat wants me to take pilate with him. He said it may help since they do alot of stretching (alot of abs).

Stretching will be counterproductive if you still have muscle spasms. They can only be treated with massage. There are a few you can do on yourself. Poke around Lots of people have solved their ITBS this way.

thanks powergyoza. That make since about massage. My family doctor wasn't much help and after taking 8 weeks off I didn't see that much of an improvement.
