Where is the best place to buy a group online?LowCel

I am getting ready to order a campy chorus group minus the headset and hubs. Where is the best place to get this? So far the best prices I have found are thru Excel sports. I have also tried pricepoint, colorado cyclist, cambria, nashbar and performance.

Anyone have any other suggestions?

Best prices are: Total Cycling and I just priced Centaur gruppo and these two beat all others. I would assume they would do the same for Chorus.

Not sure how I feel about just giving that much money to a stranger.

Danny ( is probably the easiest guy on the planet to deal with. Very straight ahead. I've spent a TON of money with him, and will spend another ton next year. He's been around about 15 years and has a sterling reputation. Do a Google search.

With worries!

I've bought many tires from him. I haven't dealt with him in year but you used to mail him a check when you received the tires. Great guy to deal with.

With the strong Euro, I would go with Totalcycling, I don't think anyone can compete with an EU dealer. I purchased 2003 Chorus from Totalcycling for $620. Got it in 4 days.
Another vote for CritUSAPicshooter

Danny is a stand up guy. Where else can you order where they tell you to look over the goods and send a check after making sure it's what you want?
The strong Euro makes overseas tempting, but I like giving my money to a guy who supports cycling in the US.
I quite don't understand....divve

.....why a strong Euro would make it tempting for someone in the US to buy from the EC? It seems the exchange becomes worse by the day.

You would think so, but Total Cycling has been offering some deals that are unbelievable on pedals, shoes, components, etc. I deal only with CritUSA (Danny) or Total Cycling on big ticket items (and tires).

reply yet(regarding 04 Record price.) I guess I should just wait? What brands does he sell? Vittoria tubulers are tough ones to find at good price; so far Total have the best price.

Patience, patience, patience. Give him a day or two around the holidays. He is extremely reliable and carries great tires, including tubulars.

Kind of. You'll have to decipher it a bit. Something got mixed up between his email formatting and mine. I received this email on 10/11/03.

Totalcycling's current price of $858 for a 2004 Chorus group wihtout hubs isn't any better than a typical U.S. price. The low value of the dollar to the English pound is the culprit.
