Even before I got to the bottom of your post I was saying to myself, "More Helmets???"

Women like shoes...you like helmets. Everyones got to have something.

I have to admit, I now have 4 helmets. An old one that I prefer to use for MTB night rides (works good with head light), an old Pneumo (commuter), a new Pneumo, and I just won a Lazer in a raffle.

Oh yeah, I have two floor pumps now too. You better watch out. I'm catching up.

Can you post a list of your 22 helmets? I'd like to see that.

I have a Limar F105 and am thinking of getting an additional brain bucket. This Met is good looking.

1 old unknown model Troxel (standby helmet for when the younguns come by)
1 old EPS foam Rhode Gear (retired due to crash)
1 old Specialized Sub 6 (my first "high end" lid)
1 Giro Helios
4 Giro Boreas (bought on sale... and still awaiting custom paint jobs)
2 Giro Pneumos
2 Catlike Kompacts
1 Catlike Lobster Chrono
1 Selev Atom
2 Garneau Prologues
1 Met 5 Element
5 Met Strads

Sad, ain't it? Save for the Boreas, they're all different colors (the lime green Boreas weren't selling so they were cheap on closeout). The MET is relatively rare in the US (MET doesn't sell 'em here... and warns their distributors not to do so as well) so the Strads are kinda kewl (and cool too... one of the best vented helmets I own). The 5 Element is rare still... thus, kewler...

2 Prologues? Is this a color coordination sickness? If so, I'm in the same boat. Currently have ten pairs of shoes, although only 3 have cleats on them at the moment. I switch them up from time to time.

I think we could start a meeting, and from the looks of this board, it would be packed! And like they say, one day at a time, we can recover from the disease of purchasing cycling goods.

You've got me almost conviced to spring for a Met Strad. It's great looking and would certainly stand out in the crowd of Giro's and Bell's down here in Dallas. If they are as well vented as everyone says, even better.

I love my Limar, and like you, appreciate the "relatively rare" status of it. I only see maybe 1-2/week during the season. The Met would be even better.

Only one question remains, how to get it past the wife? Maybe I could convince her I need a helmet to go with the new mountain bike? Ah yes, I almost forgot my own advice. "It's easier to ask forgiveness than permission."

Yes, you have a sickness. If they cost an average of $50 each that would be $1,100 in helmets alone. Can i assume they are all in good condition? If you really want to throw your money away you can send it to me. I think in the 20+ years that i've been biking I've owned a total of maybe 8 helmets (and that count may be high) and one of those was damaged in a crash. You're a marketer's dream.

I used to have eight bikes or so until I came to the conclusion that stock geometry bikes just don't fit me, a fact that i'll cover during he Festivus celebration "airing of grievances".

I can see owning several bikes, maybe not 20 unless they have some value as collectibles, but 22 helmets? Like I said, the next time you feel like buying a helmet send me the money. I'm here for you brother.
Where did you order these from? (nm)innergel

... cuz MET doesn't actually authorize their helmets for sale in North America... but, if you promise not to tell... I got the latest from Xpedia out of the UK.

The reason I posted a pic of the box and such is cuz it took a relatively long time to get 'em (ordered on Nov 29... received on Dec 19).
