I know Oakley's have been copied and there are a ton for sale on Ebay. Is it the same for Rudy Project? I see a good number of Rudy Project glasses for sale on Ebay that are selling at really good prices. Are these "generally" imitations or are they the real MCcoy!?

I think Rudy Project gives away as many glasses as they sell, if not more.

Hey Michael,

I've bought 3 pairs of RPs (Ekynox SX, Graals, and Freeons) from EBay and all *seem* real....all came with documentation, plastic carrying case, lense cleaning pouch, etc. I bought my first pair of Rudy's from a shop, and everything I listed above was also included....except, the price was substantially higher at the shop vs EBay, i.e., half.

I'm now sponsored by Rudy and am also on a team that is sponsored by Rudy, so I no longer need to go the EBay route.

FWIW, I prefer the Freeons. The seem better for MTB singletrack riding when speeds aren't overly fast and fogging can occur. The Ekynox SX and Graals both sit too close to my face and allow fogging to happen quickly. I use the Graals as an "everyday" sunglass and the Ekynox SX for when conditions permit, i.e., not too humid.

For 99% of the racing/riding I do, the "Racing Red" lense is the best option.

Mike B.
