Greetings, all. I'm thinking of getting involved with the creation of a newsletter for a fairly expansive team. Do any of you have examples or descriptions of a similar publication that you enjoy? I'm looking of any creative additions that might be of value on a monthly basis. If you happen to have a .pdf, you could forward it to hellofthenorth@hotmail.com.

I'll be doing the letter in Quark and Photoshop and making .pdf's to send the squad.

Thanks in advance!

Would an e-mail newsletter (HTML or text) be an option? One less step as the guy can read away vs. opening an attached file. It can be .pdf'ed if you want to link to it from the club website.

Here's some examples (you've probably seen these)...

I've got CAMBr's text eNewsletter that I can forward to you. I also produce a simple HTML newsletter for work...

I help organize an MS150 team. We're over a 100 riders and 30 or so non riding volunteers.

We use Yahoo Group to publish our team newsletter. You can see them here:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/MS150/

The message section is public, so you can get to it without joining the group.

Newsletters are the message that begin "Half Brain Will Pedal #X". You'll see there's more than newsletters in the message section. It's also a means for the whole team to get short quick messages out to team members. Things like training rides, equipment needs, car pools and other stuff that might not work on the newsletters schedule get sent out by members through this yahoo group.

You may have higher production quality goals than what can be accomplished in a yahoo group message if you're going to use Quark and Photoshop. But, hope this helps.

I could send you a copy of Blackhawk Bicycle and Ski Club's December newsletter out of Rockford if you like. We're currently doing about 450 copies/mo. Better still, add us to your monthly distribution list and we'll do the same.

My team does is via our website. Actually most all info is conveyed that way. Go to nhcyclingclub.com if you'd like to see how we do it.
