Another EBay fraud?AFrizzledFry

http://cgi6.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewSellersOtherItems&userid=nishekel&include=0&since=-1&sort=3&rows=50

now, normally, i wouldn't think anything of this, but look at this guy's past transactions. he's the buyer in most of them- its not like he's an ebay store or something, and now all of a sudden he's got 20 sets of 10 Speed Dura Ace Groups, 15 sets of Campy Record Groups and 20 sets of Mavic Cosmic Carbone SSC SLs. it just strikes me as odd...

what do you guys think?

ANYWAYS, if you trust the seller, there's great deals to be had!
It might be...seller's account looks odd,c722061

for all recent transactions, he was only buyer. Also, look what he bought, mostly construction equipments. Definitely odd.
Maybe he just built a bike shop? :) nmthe bull

thanks for the heads up. have their site bookmarked, but i haven't looked there in a while. thanks.
And if you buy from Total Cycling you know you they are legithudsonite

Total Cycling is a first class internet store. You order they ship. If there is a problem they look after you. I have ordered many thousands of dollars of bike parts from them. Always the best price, and the product arrives as fast or faster than when I special order from local suppliers.

Their customer service is also very good. You have a problem, you pick up the phone and call them. They solve the problem. But a word to the wise, use the phone...Sometimes e-mails get lost.

This e-bay seller may or may not be legit. But I would NOT take a chance without a better track record. Total Cycling has earned my respect and my business. Why change?
Retail? Who pays retail? Smucks?the bull

Geez, there are too many goyim on this board!

Or are you guys just Yiddish-ly challenged?

I wasn't going to say anything. No telling what they'll do.

Actually, I'm surprised by the "smuck" thing. Surely "shmuck" is one of those words that's worked its way into the English lexicon. In fact, the little paperback Oxford American Desk Dictionary and Thesaurus that I keep by my computer has the word--spelled "schmuck"--defined as a "foolish or contemptible person" without any apparent need of reference to the term's Yiddish origins. It's quite a page for an English dictionary, including, in addition to schmuck, schlemiel, schlep, schlock, and schmaltz. Also "schizophrenia."

But I digress. Whether one employs "h" or "ch," I'd expect the average cashier at a Chick-fil-A in Roanoke to know the word. Yet on our poor board ...

let me lay it out. Bull's first use was mispelled (you know he's in a hurry and all worked up), very common to mispell words on this site. my post using "smuck" in quotes was to point out this error in a friendly manor. his next response, mispelling the word again was a friendly acknowlegdement. hence the smiley face, wink, wink. get it? and Critlover, your response totally missing the satirical nature is "like totally goyim".

It was unclear that it was a joke, appearing more to be a repeat of the error, not satirical. Although I thought it might be the case that you stated, my interpretation was that it probably was not. People use quotation marks for all kind of reasons, many of which do not reflect satire. Don't assume that what you wrote was so completely clear cut and only interpretable as satire, since, obviously, it was not.

right after you corrected me you goofed a couple of post down yourself. Just karma I guess. Happens to me all the time.

Very true, however I don't ever respond to mispellings or poor grammar. It was more a response to what appeared to be a terrible ethnic injustice.

No harm meant. And yes, I do believe in karma, so maybe I got mine. It's all good.
The important thingdjg

is that you didn't resort to one of those fool smiley-face symbols. The joke works or it doesn't. Sometimes a little of both. But labeling it as a joke after the fact never makes it funny, with all due apologies to Foghorn Leghorn.

Plus he is charging 30 bucks for shipping.the bull

It should cost about 10 dollars or less to ship a group UPS. so he is making his money in the shipping as well.

I'm always wary when the photo doesn't match the item. In the Record 10 group it shows hubs and carbon cranks but includes neither- regular cranks and no hubs.
