yeah! its finally done, my look KG486. Campy eurus, full 10 spd D/A, Newton. It rides unbelievably smooth, and is super fast.

Love it. I'll have to post the pics of my new 461. I should finish it today. Can't say I'm a fan of the D/A crankset, but the rest of the bike is so sweet I can over-look it (no pun intended =) ).
Nice ride. But a questionPaulCL

Why DA components but Campy wheelset??? As a Campy purist, I must question this......

What size frame?? Your bike is one of the best looking bikes I've seen in a while. Very sharp.
Nice ride. But a questiondaman4886

hey thanks for the post, its a 53. And about the campy wheels, well I wanted the new DA because ive always had shimano, and the new stuff looked awesome, but i love the campy wheels, couldnt really choose, sorry if I offended any campy lovers.

Nice looking set of wheels. Enjoy the ride. I have seen a bunch of kg486, but I think this one looks the best. You did a nice job of setting it up.

Enjoy

SWEET RIDE!!! What what the final weight? I have been looking at the Look's as well. Did you consider the 386 at all? If so, what made you choose the 486. Congrats on the new ride!!

It was about 17.5 lbs with pedals and seat. Not super light, but its so aerodynamic that it rides as light as any bike. The 386 is nice too, although i have never ridden it, i can guess it rides similar because of the monocoque carbon frame.
Very sharp.Suds

Looks well thought out. Enjoy the ride.
Nice, but the white pedals are a bit fey. nmcyclingforwealth

Gotta love the red and while Look "look".
And as for white pedals being fey? Pick your definition of fey - doomed? visionary? crazed? campy? precious?

Your bike is extremely coordinated - what colour are your shoes and togs?

Beautiful-looking machine. All the best.

Your ride looks sweet !

It's going to take me a VERY long time to appreciate the appearance of the new D/A crank/large-chain-ring combo.
Destroys the lines of the bike in my mind .... though I guess many feel otherwise.

Thank you for posting !

Congrats! Tell me more about how it rides.

Thanks, I've only ridden it once, crappy weather, but from what I can tell its unbelievable. The most surprising thing is the feel of the monocoque frame. It is very smooth, it feels like there is no frame and that you are riding on air. Power transfer is so much better than my last bike, between the crank and the frame, it makes the acceleration super fast. The wheels also feel great, smooth and stiff. The best thing about this bike is that it seems to absorb everything and stay unbelievably stiff.
How did the build...6was9

go? Did you install BB yourself? Anything I should know? I am about to order mine, if I can decide whether to go with 03 or 04.

In case you're obsessing about the color coordination beyond the superb job you've done with it already.

Beautiful bike. I have a 486 and love the cornering. Just wait until you lean that hard into a corner and accelerate out of it. You'll love it!
