The film is THE TRIPLETS OF BELLEVILLE. A good part of the movie follows a bicycle racer as he trains and competes in the Tour de France. It is currently playing in Los Angeles. I don't know where else. Be forewarned, however. Though rich and rewarding, the film is one of the strangest I've ever laid eyes upon. It is French. It is animated.

I've heard it's very charming. I'm hoping to take my little niece when it comes out in Chicagoland.

Depending on how old your niece is, or how liberal you are life-style wise, the movie might not be suitable for her. There's some cartoon nudity (though it's very funny and only the tiniest bit sexual). There's a scene in a brothel. The film might be too scary and intense. I believe it's rated PG-13.
it got great reviews on NPR..._rt_

but they also said it is very strange.

oh, and for those of you who are subtitle phobic, they say there is really very little dialogue.

I want to see a double feature with this and "Springtime in Andulusia".

Hope it comes here soon!
