I just bought this item and am installing... The bike mount does NOT fit on oversized bars, right? I assume everyone with oversized bars and this unit has had this problem. I assume I'm just to place the bike mount on top of my handlebars and secure it with the zip wires, right? Does Polar make oversized power mount and will they be willing to exchange?

Thanks for any thoughts.

I have a power meter. The mount attaches with zip ties anyway. What's wrong with the zip tie method? Does the larger diameter of the bars distort the mount and cause the electrodes to not make good contact with the back of the watch? The "regular" bike mount works fine with my newton OS bars. I have 26mm bars on the bike with the power unit so I can't say for certain that it will work. I'm not sure I understand your problem.
