This is one of the infamous Clear Channel DJ's that were encouraging motorists to hassle cyclists. Is he going to have to ride his bike to work?

A popular Cleveland radio personality faces charges.
John Lanigan was arrested Friday night for drunken driving after a minor car accident in the parking lot of Westlake's Dave and Busters' Restaurant, NewsChannel5 reported.
Officials said the 61-year-old DJ refused to take a Breathalyzer Test.
Lanigan was released Saturday on personal bond.
Lanigan and Malone's early morning radio show on WMJI is one of the highest rated in the region.
That truly is justice!!!namaSSte

and not just for the cyclist thing but all those years of having to watch him on the 43 prize movie....sheesh!!
Not my idea of justice until his sentence includes cycling.dzrider

At this point all I know is that a jerk who encouraged people to hassle, at least, cyclists drives drunk. That only makes me feel worse. I enjoyed cycling around Columbus the spring that I was there, but Cleveland has dropped off my cycling map.
THIS IS GREAT!!!gregario

here's my e-mail to him and clear channel bigwigs:

Folks,

Looks like John Lanigan may have to seek alternative transportation because of his DUI arrest.

Gee, I really hope he has to BIKE to work. That would be poetic justice for advocating violence towards cyclists.

Of course, the marketing hacks could turn this around and FORCE him to bike to work - think of the possibilities!

it would be fantastic if found guilty his sentence was to bike to work. probably way too much to ask for however.

Now this jerk will do a "Rush Job" by getting some time off for rehab then getting 3X his normal audience on his first day back.
I'll chip in the first $10 to the "Buy Lanigan a Huffy Fund".
At that rate...Matno
