Done for the year :-(RoadHazzardBuzz

Greetings folks,

Well I made it to 2500 miles, I was hoping for 3000, but... Life happens I guess.

I took the afternoon off from work a couple of weeks ago to start remodeling the bathroom on the second floor. Things were going well. I was up in the unfinished attic (no flooring) working on the wiring for a new exhaust fan. My wife was sanding the walls. She finished up and asked what else she could do, I was going to give her a sample of some wire I needed to finish the job, so I told her to hold on, I would be right down. I started stepping on the joists as I have done hundreds of time, when I slipped, I tried to catch myself, but no luck. I fell through onto the hardwood stairs from the 1st to the second floor. I then fell head over heals to the tile floor on the first floor. I was holding a flashlight in one hand and a power drill with a woodboring bit in the other!! My wife who had watched the whole thing called 911 and soon we were off to the hospital.
Bottom line, I am VERY lucky considering. I am home after 6 days in the hospital with a concussion, broken rib and my back broken in several places. The doctor says I should be able to start riding again in March. I'm working hard to see that it happens.

I'll be riding vicariously through you folks until then, so keep those great posts coming!

Sorry to hear about your accident. Glad you're still alive and that you'll heal.

Get well!

Sorry to hear that Buzz. Take care, and remember, presription pain killers and holiday beverages don't mix that well! But with really good meds, who needs the beverages? :)

The hospital couldn't have been much fun, I'm sure you're glad to be home. Hang in there, be positive, time will pass and before you know it you'll be spinin pedals again.

Best wishes!
