Issues with tubs on carbon rims..Bob1010

I have noticed on some tires when mounted up I will get an out of round effect where the valve stem is located. It appears the base tape that is molded to the stem area seems to push the tire outward more.. Does anyone have a fix for this or do I trash the tires..The tires are from a very reputable company and seem to be used by a lot of racers..Maybe it is in the constuction of the carbon rim?
Normal with all tubies. Thick tape around the valve stemSpunout

protects the stem and tube from failure, something you don't want to happen with a very expensive tubular.

Can you notice it when you ride? If it is actually bouncing you off the bike, send it back.

When you first stretch the tire on the rim, apply full body force with with both arms to really stretch it at the valve in both directions. If you are wimpy at this first stretch, you can leave a bump at the valve. Unless there is something you can measure in the rim, that is not likely the cause.
