it is the complement of the head tube angle....since 73 degrees is common, 17 usually does it...i.e. 73 + 17 = 90 degrees

thanks, you'd think trading financial derivatives I'd ahve that down but nooooo. Then again, angles are more an engineers world, right? (trying to justify my ignorance!)
