|I know only of these:
1) Point down to the ground on the side of an upcoming road hazard so the rider behind you knows it's coming
2) Shake fist to show aggression
3) Extend middle finger to show respect
What other common hand signals do we use in cycling (in case I start doing group rides)?

|...reserved for truly heinous acts. Sit up in the saddle and extend the middle fingers of both hands. It is a time proven favorite with motorists.|

|I've seen a leading rider sorta fan his rear (like he has gas) to indicate that the following rider should get right behind him... he did it when we passed other MUT users.
He was foreign, did not speak english, STRONG rider on an Orbea.
He would still point out trail debris as normal... he just used the fan signal for passing people.

|1. slapping thigh (as a warning) and then waving paceline to the left to indicate that a car is parked ahead.
2. clenched fist held in the middle of the back to indicate that the rider's pull is done and that the next in line should move up.
