older lemond ti?bpwell

I'm hoping to find out more about an older titanium lemond I got second hand a while back, who made it, when, quality, anything. This one is metallic blue to grey with yellow lemond writing, horizontal rear dropouts, the matching painted carbon fork has what I'm pretty sure are ti steerer tube and dropouts. Campy record and delta brakes just like I remember seeing in a photo in Bicycling mag a long time ago. The seat stays join to the outside of the seat tube and are bevelled? there (like many old steel seat stays look), I don't know if that's useful information but it seems like most frames join the seat stays to the back of the seat tube. Thanks for any info.

Thanks,I don't have the bike with me now, I'll look again when I can but I don't remember seeing any serial number, isn't it normally stamped under the bb? Do you know the best way to contact lemond for something like that?

The # should be stamped under the BB, unless they were using stickers at the time.

As for contacting Lemond.....try their website
serial # may be on the inside of the right rear drop.....cyclist of all trades

and the bike was probably made by clark-kent in denver back in the early 90s. many of them cracked around the seat tube/seatpost cutout and/or bb area.

The first Lemond Ti frames were made by Litespeed and painted blue. Later on, Clark Kent made them.

Check out this completed ebay auction for a Litespeed Lemond.

Thanks, that looks a lot like it except mine has more of a fade from blue to gray, seat tube extension looks same but I can't quite see the seat stay tops clear enough in that picture for that comparison. When I get it out of storage I'll check again for a serial number.
