|Bianchi EV4 - Any Thoughts?||CrazyMan|

|I have the opportunity to purchase a new 2002 Bianchi EV4 for a good price. Any experiences?
I weigh 155 lbs and was looking for a lightweight climbing frameset, and this would seem to fit the bill.
Again, price is right, so unless there are warranty / stiffness issues that are unbeknownst to me, I think I'll be getting it shortly.
Thanks for any help!

|I have never seen an EV4 on the road. I have an 01 EV2. Comparable to the current EV3. The geometries of all three bikes are the same. So my guess is the ride would be pretty similar. I love the ride characteristics of the bike. It's light,stiff and very responsive. The faster you go the better it handles.
My understanding is that the EV4 is pretty much a race only bike but that sounds like what you are looking for. I know that the Bianchi team trained on EV3's and several of the larger riders (Ullrich) raced on the EV3's not the 4's.
As for warranty issues, I am about to find out how good their warranties are. Mine cracked just after Hotter than Hell and I am awaiting a replacement. I have heard that they offer very good warranty service which is one of the reasons I bought one. Just don't lose that reciept.
