I assume everyone know of that Episode? The cast challenges each other to go the longest without "Pleasuring themselves". Truly a classic episode.

Well, I'm out! Just recieved tires from an eBay retailer yesterday. That's right, eBay!!! It's not all scams and suckers. :-)
"Master of your Domain" IMHO, the best Seinfeld ever nmDave Hickey

I wasn't going to add the description. Then I realized there is a diverse croud here. Some people might not get the reference so I added the one line summary. I see, in your case, it wasn't neccessary. :-)

I was never a devout fan of the show but that may be the funniest 1/2 hour of TV I've ever seen.
Best was Kramer losing in the first 5 minutes. nmLen J

Or Jerry mugging the lady for the Schniter's Marble Rye.
George trying to reel it up with a fishing pole... that whole show was funny!
Actual title of the episode is "The Contest"... but best ever isrussw19

"The Fuscilli Jerry" episode where Kramer gets the "assman" plates... million to one shot doc, million to one.

My Seinfled top 5 goes as Fuscilli Jerry, The Contest, Soup Nazi, Marble Rye, and The Marathon.

whoops... that got off topic....

Kramer is by far my favorite.
And what about Festivus, for the rest of us!CritLover
Nov 13, 2003 4:42 PM
My top five would have to include Elaine's dance episode, George's mother as the doll, Festivus, and Jerry and George are gay lovers (not that there's anything wrong with it). The contest may always be number one- I mean what's funnier than having JFK Jr in front of you during aerobics- too funny!
Elaine dancing... that was classic!russw19

What about when she ate Peterman's 200 year old wedding cake and tried to replace it with an Entemans?

Or George as Coco the Gorilla.... "T-Bone!"

I am watching Seinfeld right now... it's the Shrinkage episode... where they are in the Hamptons to see the baby and George's date gets topless when George went to get tomatos for his mom.

George "I was in the pool! I was in the pool!"

I love that show!

How bout Llyod Bridges as the trainer...russw19
Nov 13, 2003 8:45 PM
When Kramer was storing his blood in Jerry's freezer and the car started to overheat so he put the blood in it... car was sputtering... Bridges tied Jerry to the car to make him run... the best line came out of that one..."You lag, you drag!"

Or when Jerry's car got stolen with JFK's golf clubs in the back and the guy was throwing them at Newman and Kramer.. that was the Farmer's Daughter episode, right? Was that also the one where Kramer adopted a highway and widened the lanes? Haven't seen that one in years.
Dave, check out this website...russw19

has links to all the episodes, when the characters first showed up and a synopsis of the show as well as the original air dates and episode numbers... I just found it and I bet I am up all night playing on that site.

Excellent site. Thanks.. nmDave Hickey

Filtering out normal maintenance items (tubes, etc.) and repairs, I went from '93 to '95 without buying anything (or really riding).

I bought a new bike, and then went until '98 (when I went clipless). During this time, it was an ATB I road around for kicks (kinda fell out of the sport after college).

Four years ago, I started commuting, so some minor upgrades were purchased.

Two years ago, I bought a Trek 1000. Lots of money spend since.

Now, I've managed to month, but, I did get a new Lemond Maillot Jaune (but it was a really, really good deal).

(I do have to do some serious sucking up to my wife).

If we are to ignore mountain biking and soley focus on road, it's been at least 6 months since I've put into money into the sport.

Otherwise, it's about a week for the mtb.

I'd been doing well for quite a while.

Then in the last month or so I was brutally forced to buy an Orbea Lobular Carbon with Chorus.

The Orbea purchase necessitated buying toys to convert the old road bike to a time trial setup (bull bars, aero bars, bar end shifters, brake levers, cables).

Luckily my wife's reaction has been "you use the stuff enough, I don't have a problem with you spending the money"
Had gone one month...Mr Nick

But then I just bought a new SLK gelflow saddle, a new jersey, arm warmers, and ear warmers. The wife didn't mind because she knows I need to stay warm.

she even has her own account with Voler to buy me bibs, etc. as gifts. She didn't even flinch when a new set of wheels was dropped off by the UPS man last week or at the new shoes that showed up a few days ago. I live in FL, don't play golf, etc. and she is glad I spend the time riding for the exercise, etc.

After I spent $1800 on a new mountain bike in July I've
probably not spent anything since (well, I did get a
couple of lights for the commuter. And I bought two
tireflies for that thing, and ....ah forget it).

I know I haven't even visited a bike shop this month so far.

Let's see, the cruiser got a lot done to it between 1971 and 1978, but then collected a lot of dust in the garage for many years, to about 1998, during which time it got maybe 10-20 miles a year.

The only thing I bought for it during that time was a saddle, which was about $9 in the bargain barrel at the LBS. So the answer is, at least 10 years is the longest I've gone.

Since 1999, its gotten more goodies than in the whole rest of its life, and it has a stablemate that has been built up from a frame. So I'm no longer master of my domain.
I never go more than a month! (nm)Rich_Racer
