|When I switched to XP it was on a computer that only had a USB port. I had an old serial IR pickup. I had to buy the USB IR. When I did, it gave me instructions for downloading the correct driver from the Polar site. Works great now.
BTW, I have a 710 Version 4.00.024 of the Polar software (which I think I had to upgrade b4 the IR worked.

|I had my 710 for a year and I never could get the IR interface to work. I tried three different computers.
Two weeks ago I bought a new lap top with XP. For Sh!ts and grins I tried the internally mounted IR port on the lap top and it works fine. I must have a defective interface.
