Now, there's this word 'bottom bracket'...is it 'axe de pédalier' or 'boîte de pédalier'in French ?
Could someone either give me the definition for the word or, even better, tell me which French word it corresponds to ? Thanks a lot......
BB shell=boite; and the other is the bottom bracket....Spunout

In french, we refer to the entire sealed BB assembly as the "boitier de pédalier" as opposed to the "axe de pédalier" which refers to the spindle. However, in vernacular, you find people refering to the BB assembly as the "axe" or "boitier" de pédalier interchangeably. Boitier, however is technically the correct term.
