How about we recycle those saddles that didn’t work out?(7 posts)

How about we recycle those saddles that didn’t work out?Mr Nick

So after trying three saddles this weekend I finally found one I liked, but it was not an easy process. The hardest part about it is that you want to ride the saddle, but you can't mess it up otherwise the LBS won't exchange it. You can order from Performance, but that takes awhile and there are some people (like me) who don't really know where they want to start in the way of saddles. So here is what I propose. How about those of us with saddles we did not like that are sitting around, offer them up to people who are trying to find something new? Whoever wants to try the saddle can pay for the shipping and then they can pass it along when they decide they like it or not. Might be a crazy idea, but I know I would have appreciated it.

So to get things started I have a Selle Italia Prolink Genuine Gel that did not suit me at all. But I know many people think they are very comfortable. So if anyone has been thinking about purchasing one and wants to put some miles on it first let me know and I can get it shipped to you. Just post your e-mail and we can decide how to cover shipping.

Sounds like a good idea.
I have nothing to add at the moment, but I'll take you up on the offer

You would be amazed what you can get for it on eBay.
Not really into supporting E-Bay, also getting money isn't...Mr Nick

really the point. I honestly thought it would be cool to offer a resource to people who don't have the ability or funds to try a bunch of saddles.
Sounds like you are one of those people.the bull

Sell the saddle on ebay and recoupe the money for your current saddle!
God forbid I'd be "one of those people"...Mr Nick

because we all know that the only thing in life that really matters is the bottom dollar.
