I'm thinking of doing a Litespeed trade-in with this shop and would appreciate any comments on past experiences with them. Thanks.

Bought a Litespeed Tuscany frame from them in the spring and everything was on the up and up. One data point only though. They have a couple of different stores one of which is called Bike Farmer.

BTW, what are you trading in and how does the program work?

A few months ago I bought my Look KG381 from them. They gave me a fantastic price, great service, let me spec everything exactly as I wanted, then didn't jerk the price around on me....

Once I got the bike, I found I needed to swap the saddle, the stem and the bars. They let me swap everything and didn't make me return the stuff I had before they'd ship out the replacements. In other words, they trusted me, which is kinda rare these days. They said it was okay to hang onto the parts so I didn't have to stop riding the bike while waiting for the new parts. Jeremy and Jeremiah are the two guys I dealt with and they were great. In fact, last week I wrote a letter of appreciation to the General Mgr/Owner of the company.

By the way, I live in CT, so I dealt with them over the internet and over the phone. Everything was shipped back and forth with no problems at all.

I bought a Vortex from them last year. There was a very slight frame alignment problem that they were very helpful getting warrantied. (I mail ordered the bike with instructions I wanted to build it myself, or I'm confident they would have caught and remedied the problem before it got to me). They were so helpful I've since bought more stuff from them and now consider River City my lbs, and I'm 90 miles away.
Thanks everyone! (nm)AFred
