|Anyone Ever Pain Their Helmet?||Mr Nick|

|I have a great Bell Furio that I love. Really light, comfortable and got on super sale at Supergo. The only problem is that its yellow. So I was at Ace Hardware yesterday and Krylon has paint specially made to bond to plastic with no prep work. I thought, why don't I spray my helmet the color I want and then it really will be the perfect helmet for only $5 more bucks? Is this a crazy idea?|

|I'm sure you mean "paint" your helmet!
Be careful! Spraypaint can dissolve the expanded polystyrene that makes up the functional part of the helmet. But if you very carefully mask the styrofoam the Krylon will do a great job on the plastic shell. Post a photo of the finished product!

|Your a sensitive guy Mr Nick to be so concerned as to how your helmet feels about its color...I think it probably likes yellow and he or she would take offense to your suggestion.
Also, in the off chance that you meant to type the word "paint", I say go for it. I haven't seen this bonding paint before, sounds like it would work great...in fact, I may try it today on an old helmet for fun - assuming that I can find it for myself. It would also be cool to follow it up with a clear coat for some added protection from chips and 'nicks'.
