new cleats= outside foot pain?(2 posts)

new cleats= outside foot pain?king of Norway

I recently changed my cleats (Campy-same type) and now I've noticed I have pain on the ouside bottom edge of one foot. Any takers on possible causation?

Either I put the new cleat angling too far in (pidgeon toed) or out (duck toed) I thought I aligned them as before and I've never had prior problems. Could be unrelated but I first noticed it after the cleat change.

I always outline my cleats with nail polish. It sounds like the cleat should be placed more to the inside of the shoe. See of you feel any pressure in the front of the shoe next time your out riding. If your foot feels like it wants to point one way while your riding, then move the cleat to accomodate where the foot wants to be.
