Colored Open Pros, where to buy?(12 posts)

Colored Open Pros, where to buy?cipolini2b

Almost every retailer out there that sells open pros has them in silver or black. Anyone know of a retailer that has assorted colors on them? I'm looking for red or orange, 28 hole. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
You mean 'Open Pros of color,' I'm sure. nmOldEdScott

Mavic doesn't make red or orange Open Pros. You're stuck with blue, black, or silver. You can get Velocity Aeroheads in red 28H, not sure if they make orange or not. I've had good luck with these rims, they offer the OC version for the rear too. I'm using them on my cyclocross bike now and they are durable. You could try to find some Heliums, they were red and 28H, IIRC. Good luck.

I didn't think they made them either, until I saw these rims. They look awesome, but you're right, the vast majority are black or silver.
I've got a set of Red Opsbimini

Unfortunately, I put a flat spot in both of them.

Got them on ebay. I'm not sure who sells them new.
My OPs are red, got them at excelsports...Tom C

in 2000 closedout for $37.88 each. Might want to give them a ring on any leads but your best bet is to keep checking ebay.

You can get them in Holland:

Check Wheels->Race->Handgemaakt->Velgen

Unfortunately you'll have to order by fax and prepayment. Hope they understand English!

Currently Mavic only has black 28H OP for sale to the general public. The other colors in 28H are special production runs.

Regarding that shop you recommended in Holland...let me paint this picture...imagine your typical stereotype super deep discounting car dealership...that pretty much describes what they're'll only get somewhere with them if you actually visit the shop...they don't pick up phones...not even when you call in their designated only get email answered in the form of an invoice from an order you just placed, lol:)
