Does anyone else feel like this board is littered with these scam alerts? We all know what good feedback is and what not. Most of us struggle over decisions regarding the frame selection alone, are we going to just throw our money away?
I realize that some are trying to be helpful, but it at this point it seems like overkill, and clutters this board.

If someone feels compelled to post these, please do it on the Good Trader/Bad Trader board.
I disagree...DERICK

There are new people visiting the board all the time looking for information. I think posting these scams once in a while keeps it fresh in peoples minds. Not everyone is aware of how these scams work.

I'd hate to think some new person came to the board for info on buying a bike and wasn't warned about these scams. Getting ripped off like that could set someones bike purchase back several months to a year or more. We need more people on bikes and fewer people getting ripped off.

Who actually visits the Good trader bad trader forum anyway?

If the forum is used for its intended purpose, then those in the market for a bike may indeed visit it.

These "scams" aren't being posted "once in a while" they are being posted 7-10 times a week.

If a new cyclist thinks that they can by a bike for 1/2 its retail value from a guy with no feedback who lives in Europe and promises "all sizes," I don't think it is incumbent upon us to repeatedly belabor the obvious ("If it sounds too good to be true it probably is.").

I vote for putting the "scam" threads on ice, or putting them in the appropriate forum.

Anyone who buys a bike that ugly deserves to get ripped off.

Any of the Porsche, BMW, or Mercedes bikes are not marketed to cyclists...

If anyone asked you about it, you could just shrug your shoulder, look disinterested and say "I don't know, it came with the car".
