|1) It was freezing. Like mid-40's.
2) I was wearing a head thing, leg warmers and full jacket.
3) Just suck.
I was 10 minutes slower on my commute. My toes were numb and my heart rate was at least 10 bpm higher than usual.
I took off the full on head cover thing about 2/3rds through the ride but left on the leg warmers. Should I have done reverse or what. I have no clue, I just want to keep riding and need some guidance on when to take off what to feel better and yet be smart about not freezing my arse off. Even my clothes in my backpack were cold when I put them on. I'm thawing out as were speak.
By the way, do I need toe warmers or some full on foot cover?
Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

|52 -60 deg. leg warmers, one long sleave jersey and one medium weight cycling jacket.
45-52 deg. heavy tights, short sleave jersey, long sleave jersey, medium weight cycling jacket, full finger gloves and booties.
32-45 deg. heavy tights, medium weight jacket, heavy cycling jacket W/hood (Assos), full finger gloves, booties.
Any colder and I add more layers. Wind breakers don't work for me. I over heat. If your warm for the first fifteen minutes your over dressed.
