Recommendations for computer w/cadence_rt_
Nov 4, 2003 6:56 AM
i need to buy a computer with cadence for winter training & i'm looking for recommendations from the peanut gallery (that's you).

i've been using Cat Eye Miti computers on all my bikes. i like the display and the buttons are easy to use but the Miti does not do cadence. i know Cat Eye has a computer with cadence but i'm interested in everyone's opinions about the Cat Eye and other computers.

thanks!

I understand why you would want cadence...but I think you would never use it after the novelty wears off. IMO

that requires that i have feedback on cadence. i'll be mounting it on my trainer bike. besides, i really like having lots of numbers to put into my training log.

I've used the Astrale for 8 years, they're bullet proof. I wouldn't be without cadence.

I always have it set on cadence!
So many cool features and no crank sensors or cables running down your frame.

That is if you are using Shimano.

I have had good luck with my axiom 8.0C from performance and it was cheap! the set up is not the best but other then that it works fine.

I have been very happy with my Nashbar computer w/cadence. Relatively easy to set up, cheap, and reliable.

I'm satisfied with my Sigma BC-1400. I'm afraid that only newer model (BC-1600) is available now, but from what I know, it at least not worse than BC-1400.

And they are cheap - it is possible to buy BC-1600 with cadence option for 26EUR.
thanks all!! i decided to go with..._rt_
