Where and who should I send my race resume to???R600DuraAce

I am in NYC. I am not sure who and where I should send my cat 5 to cat 4 upgrade race resume. USCF site does not say. I know I have to request the upgrade from my regional rep. I am not sure who that is? Thanks.

I read somwhere that after 10 races, cat 5 racers automatically upgrade to 4. Although I don't know if notification is given but I'd assume some contact would be in order. I'd contact your local rep and find out.

First off, just reapply and see what license they send you. Don't bother wasting your time or your rep's sending a race resume, just reapply for your 2004 license and see what cat they put you in. Then if you are still a 5, talk to your rep at the first race of the season. After all, it won't make any difference to your off season if you are a 4 or 5. There must be a USCF rep at every race. Wait for the first one and show up early... find the rep and ask them to upgrade you if you get a 5 license next year.

Most USCF reps will hand out 5 to 4 upgrades like the school lunch lady hands out fries! They don't care. But to get a 3 upgrade you may have prove your worth. And to go up to 2 or higher, they will know who you are by then and know when you are ready.

Funny thing is that all it takes to get your USPro license is to fill out the application and pay the fee. I know kids who went from Cat 3 to Pro just by applying. I hope they closed that loophole by now...

I actually know the guy he STIFFED. Good guy and good cyclist who thought selling to a fellow roadie was safe. NOT!!

Gawd. I used to visit bicycling.com and never when I was their did prepubescent boys brag about shafting fellow riders just because THEY had bid too high!
