Why all the negative emotion? Its a bike, its fun -jbean

I almost said lighten up - then I thought - oh no! more fights over weight of this and that.
I have read cycle message boards for 2 years and find them fun and informative; excpet the negative posters. what is with that? 30 years of cycling and I still love it - I can not get mad at someone who rides a cruiser - at least they are riding! I can not get upset with younger guys on super light aluminum road bikes, at least they are riding. Mountain bikers? at least they are riding. Commuters? Track guys in downtown? Guys that convert their road bike to internal hubs? Girls that can not adjust thier bike? At least they are riding.
What about people who buy bikes from germany when germany will not support the war? How about bikes from Italy when Italians can not keep their cars running? How about those bad people in China - what about their bikes?
How about LBS that charge too much? How about cyclists that will not support thier LBS? What about brands that sell thier bikes to mail order houses? And what about those evil guys at Shimano that wont give a sucker an even break? And hey dont forget that one political party is anti bike and wont give peace a chance!
we all can think of plenty of good stuff to say without calling other people that share our love of cycling names

I'm sitting at my desk in shorts, sweating. I'm looking at my bike out the window and wondering when would be a good time to leave. :-)

Currently 76* and sunny in NJ.
plus it is snowing in MN- nmfiltersweep

Almost 80f today-I was good and did some yard work but rode into work IN SHORTS. Tommorrow's forecast calls for a high of 77. I'll be riding. I pity you guys (and gals) that have to work day shift. Too bad for you =)))) BTW- I live in PA. This is a special treat in November!

I tend to take a couple of long weekends in November to kill off vacation time I'll lose at the end of the year if I don't use it. The weather usually sucks. Four day weekend this week though, with today and tomorrow off. I got really really really lucky :) I have 130 miles in for the weekend so far and mountain biking tomorrow. If my legs can handle it.

It sure LOOKS like autumn out there (also in Pennsylvania), but I was too hot today in shorts and a light jersey. Very strange.

I dunno - maybe the weather has people turning grouchy. I watch the news reports and it was snowing in Utah.

In Phoenix it was 78 this weekend, which made for *fabulous* biking weather. So I put in 110 miles on Saturday and Sunday. What fun :)

Thx...Doug
Maybe it's the weather? IT IS GREAT - riding in shorts in Nov!ferrantee
