Well, since my daughter went back to high school Aug. 21st. (funny how I remember the date) I think my excuse is the motivation of desperate men living in the Mid-West with the onset of Midwestern winters upon them. Cheers

The dark mornings halted my pre-work weekly rides. Take 160 miles off the monthly total. Missed 3 of 5 Friday afternoon rides due to work: take 150 off monthly total. Missed two Sunday rides: take off 140 miles. So...instead of the 'average' 600-700 mile month, I ended up with 253.

At least November has started well: 70 yesterday. With the "fall back" of the clocks, its light at 6:45 am again, so I can squeeze in 25-35 on Wednesday mornings for the next few weeks.

My goal is to hit 4000 for the year. I'm not sure of my exact miles since I rode some of Feb/Mar without a computer.

"regular" rides that i lead get canceled almost every weekend august through january/february not because i don't want to ride, but due to events--races almost every weekend...'cross, duathlons, mountain bike events, and cross-country running. this part of year is more busy for me than summer! and i dig it!

Not counting the rides around the neighborhood with my daughter (not included in the miles) I took about 2 weeks off. Just because.

At least 268.2 was the most October miles I've ever recorded
and it was all due to commuting.

Next year I'll be more in line with the gods on this forum.

I was sick one week, only managed 14 miles. Went to a wedding and only managed 65 miles last week. Otherwise, a great month. The weather has been nice for November with the last few days being over 80 degrees! Crazy.
